Old Town, 'the old town' 13 Wads 45, (le ) Oldtowne 1533 FrG 23, 1551 WillY, 1564FGr 1et freq to 1623 FF, Owlde towne 1634 WillY, Ouldtowne 1653 PRHept, Old Town 1695 M. On this use of town to denote the village proper cf. Mickletown ii, 127supra . It may represent the site of the original settlement of Wadsworth (supra ).
