Booth [buiþ], Bothe 1379 PT (p), Ryssheworth bothe 1538MinAcct 56, Boythe 1569 HAS 29, 17, 1581 YD i, Booth 1644 WillY, v. bōth 'a booth, a shed'. The form Boythe is an early example of the modern dial. form (Phonol. § 30).
