Broadgates (lost), Brod Yattes 1558 HAS 13, 31, Brodeyates 1612 ib 21, 147, Broadgates 1674 ib 8, 119, v. brād , geat 'a gate'. The place was probably near Under Bank (cf. HAS 52, 99).
