'Sigrith's shieling or farm', v. erg . The pers.n. is from the common ON  fem. pers.n. Sigríðr (cf. Ekwall, ScandsCelts 78), which occurs as Sig [er ]ith in Preston Patrick 1191–1200 Kend ii, 298.
