Hazel Rigg, Hesilrig 1200–20, 1220–6, 1260 Cockers, Hesylryg 1501, 1537 CockersRent, Hesslerigge 1584 CW xxiv, 128. 'Hazel ridge', v. hesli , hrycg (hryggr). It is also called Hesylhawe 1451, 1461 CockersRent, which corresponds to Hazel Rigg in later parts of the same rental; v. haga 'enclosure'.
