Bakeham Ho is Bageham t. Hy 3For , 1279Ass , Bacham , Bakeham 1294Ass (all p), Bakeham 1316ChertseyB , Bachamston '1333, Bakanstone 1420, Bakhamstone 1467 Chertsey, Bakehamcrosse 1443Chertsey , Backham , Bakehames 1605LRMB , Backham 1607Norden , 1695 Morden. Probably 'Bacca 's ham(m),' cf. Baccamoor (PN D 252). It is not on the parish boundary, so the stone cannot have been a boundary mark.
