Pucksroad (not on map) is Puckeride (1570 BM), Pookryde (1689 SAC 3, 124) and gave name to Radulphus Poukerithe (1327 SR). 'Goblin stream,' v. puca , riþ . Near by was Pookeborne bridge (1582 Rowe).
