Naldred Fm (6') is Le Nalderetland 1553Deeds Enrolled , and may have been the home of Walter ate Naldrette of Hurstpierpoint (1327 SR), Gilbert ate Nelrette of Balcombe (1327 SR), or John Alderet (1497 SAC 57, 192). 'At the alder-clump,' v. Grevatt's supra 17.
