Etymology

Rodmill (Radmill 1823 G) is manorial in origin and preserves the name of the family of Wm de Rademylde (1296 FF) of Rodmell supra 325 who held the manor of Beverington which was Radmell al. Beverington -Radmell in 1662 (Ct ). This was North Beverington, one of the 'borghs' of the Hundred of Eastbourne.
