Etymology

'Broad glade', from brād and lēah , with grēne 2 , brōc , hall , brycg .Bradley is in Malpas parish, and near Agden 3supra . The affix Welsh - (v. Welisc ) alludes to this place's proximity to Wales and distinguishes it from Bradley 3228. It seems likely that there was a Welsh interest here in the thirteenth century, cf. Madoc de Bradeleg '1260 Court 24, and there may have been a notable Welsh influence in the population in the seventeenth. The brook joins Wych Brook 139.
