Etymology
'Luttoc 's ford.' This pers. name is not on independent record, but would be a regular derivative of OE Lutt found in luttes crundel BCS 327 and is found in ME field-names Luttekeshel (1291) and Luttichesalre (1361) in Devon. Cf. also Lutworthy and Liddington infra 401, 574 and Ailric Lute filius and Lutting as pers. names in the Feudal Book of Abbot Baldwin of Bury (c. 1150).
