Etymology

v. South Crosland supra . The location of North Crosland is uncertain. It may have been in Lockwood township near Crosland Hill (275infra ), but Langd puts it in this township, and it may in fact have been the northern half of the township, for the southern part is described as Sowth Crosland Half 1588 LS 148.
