The Lipneas (6″) is Lipeneye 1328Ct , Lypney 1526AD , Lipney 1560 Fenland iv, Lypneas c. 1840TA . Forms are late, but this is probably 'Lippa 's low-lying land.' Cf. lippan dic BCS 924. v. ēg .
