Salfords is Salfordebrugg '1316ChertseyB , Saleford 1355Ct , Sallforde 1535 VE, and was the home of Stephen de Salford (1279Ass ) and Philip de Saleford (1332 SR). Probably 'ford by the willow,' v. sealh .
