Duxhurst Fm is Dokeshurst 1315ChertseyB , Doxehurst 1325, Dokisherst 1393 LBa, Doxhurst 1332 SR (all p). This name, like Duxford (PN C 26), Dukesfield (PN NbDu 66), Duxbury (PN La 129) seems to contain a personal name Ducc . Hence 'Ducc 's wooded hill,' v. hyrst .
