Etymology

There is a Berkshire meosbroc (BCS 955, 1022). The same name lies behind Mizbrook's Fm (PN Sx 266). It is a compound of OE  mēos , 'moss,' perhaps also 'miry place,' and broc . The s is pseudo-manorial.
