Hyle Fm is Hyle Farm 1785 Cary and is no doubt identical with Hylde 1443Norfolk , le Hylde 1448 ib., Hilde 1597 ib.'Slope,' v. hielde . Hille (1596 Musters) may refer to this place, or possibly to Hillhouse Fm infra 269. On the 6″ map we have Hoyle Fm, Hill and Cottages. For this form cf. Hoyle Field Ho 1838 TA.
