Kitlands is Kyttelond 1437, Kittland 1497, Cutland 1526, Ketland 1534, Kytlondys 1535 SAC xxviii, Kittleland 1607 SrWills. The first element is perhaps OE  cȳta , 'kite,' which would give ME spellings with u , i , e and y , as above.
