Etymology
Sent Fm (6″) (locally Sends) is probably identical with the Sountt 1502–3 ECP, Sunts c. 1680 ParReg. The farm lies low between two streams and we clearly have OE *sunt , 'marshy ground,' discussed in PN Sx Part I, p. xlvi, PN D Part II, p. x.Cf. Sunt Wood supra 57, Sunt Fm infra 335, Suntħill in Hook (1397Deed ) and Sonteland in Cranleigh (1521Ct ).
