Angrove Fm is Angrave c. 1300Malm , Anne Grove 1547 Pat, Angrove 1563 NQ viii, Aungrovesmede t. ElizLRMB . v. græfe and infra 432. The grove lies by the Avon and it is possible that Auene is the first element of the name. Cf. Avoncliff infra 122.
