Fowlbrook Wood is Fugelesbroc (k ), Fuggelsbrock , Fuggelbroc , Fuggesbroc c. 1200 Pens, Fukelesbrok 1261Ass (p), Fugesbroke c. 1300 Pens. 'Fugol 's meadow' (v. broc ), though here it might be 'bird's meadow' (v. fugol ).
