Mitcheners Bank

Early-attested site in the Parish of Blechingley

Etymology

Mitcheners Bank (6″) is Michenall 1505, Mychynall 1571, Michinalls 1656, and is to be associated with Henry de Michenhale , a juror in the parish in an inquisition of 1347 (LBl 213, 592). Probably it is a name of manorial origin, Henry having come from Michen Hall supra 198.
