Etymology

Radford (lost) is Radeford t. Hy 2, 1161 (1316) Dugd vi, Radforde otherwise Nether Towne 1535 VE, Radforde 1541 Dugd vi, Radforthe nighe Workesope 1588 Wills, Radford linges 1609LRMB , Radford 1665Recov . 'Red ford,' cf.
