Brimbley Fm in Stoke A. par. infra . Castell refers to Castle infra : the two estates are closely associated in the early records, and both are held by Gilbert de Castello in 1245 FF, 1318 Drew, etc. The surname of Humphrey de Brammeslegh 1327 SR, a taxpayer in Philleyholme tithing in Hawkchurch, may also belong here in spite of the erratic spelling.
