Bishopsfield (lost, 109–416673), Bishopsfield 1867 Sheaf3 18 (4488a), the name of a postal district and locality, has been associated with Bispediche 1354 (1379) Ch, 1355 (15) Sheaf, 1355 (16) Morris, 1499 Orm2, 1540, 1555, 1573 Morris, Sheaf, 'the bishop's ditch', v. biscop , dīc , a ditch joining Flooker's Brook 124 opposite the point where the city boundary left the brook to run south towards Boughton, v. Sheaf1 1, 189–190.
