Hoole Village
Early-attested site in the Parish of Plemstall
Etymology
Hoole Village (109–430690), a township formed by the division of the old township of Hoole between Chester and the county. It dates from after 1860 White. The two parts of Hoole may represent a distinction between the manor of Hoole and the ancient avowry of Hoole Heath. The boundaries of the latter are not completely identified, but certainly included that part of Hoole which now lies in Chester.
