, 1817 M , a name repeated elsewhere in YW ( iii , 7 , 88 infra ) , all seemingly modern and probably imitative formations from ModE  beggar and the common ending -ington , denoting places which beggars haunted or where they could stay ; this place is near to Lee Fair Green supra which was doubtless a haunt of beggars at fair - time .
