Etymology

Hasling Ford, Hasling Hall, Heslingefeild 1585Dep , Hesleinghall , Hesleinghale 1666, 1668 PROt, Hasling Ford 1858 O.S., cf. also Heselhil 1175–95 YCh 57, Hesilhit (? sic for Hesilhil ) 1321 YD ix. Probably OE  hæsling 'a place growing with hazels' or a compound of hesli 'hazel' and eng 'meadow', v. ford , hall .
