Withamley Ho, Wythenloe c. 1272 Linds (p), Wyhenlee a. 1290 Hall (p), le Wyt (h )enleye , Wyt (h )enlee p. 1290 ib, Whithenley More 1614 SheffMan, Withenley 1771 M. The first el. is OE  wiðign 'a willow, a willow- copse' with lēah 'forest-clearing', perhaps added in the same way as in Brightholmlee 222supra and Mortomley 247infra .
