Most of these references appear to belong to Bradfield rather than a lost f.n. Hallefeld in Ecclesall 203supra . v. hall , feld ; feld (from the reference to the chase) has its older meaning of 'open country'; cf. also Hawe Parke 1637 HntS i, 64 (identified with a Hall Park ).
