Gorcott Hill is Gorcote 1183, 1190 P, 1383 HMC x App 6, Gorcota 1189–92 P, Gorcotehulle c. 1470 AD iv. 'Muddy cottage(s),' v. gor , cot(e) and cf. Ritter 122. The place lies partly in Worcestershire, cf. PN Wo 187.
