Etymology

Fishridge (lost) is Fyxregge 1450 IpmR, Fiskeridge 1598 Sackville-West, Historical Notices of Withyham 22, Fiskaridge 1719 SAC 39, 149, and gave name to the family of Henry de Fiskeregg ' (1296 SR). It was almost in the centre of Summerford Fm (Sutton 116). This difficult name must remain unsolved.
