Etymology

Coxland Fm must take its name from the family of 'Adam quondam fil. Henrici Coci ' of Berewell (c. 1300 Perc) who received two acres of land by exchange in campo q. v. Burifeld de Tolyton (c. 1300 Perc 416). Cf. Burrell's Cottage supra 115.
