Peckham Fm is Pec (c )ham 1298Ass , 1315 FF, 1327, 1332 SR (p), Pechham 1316 BM, Pekkeham 1537Ct . As it stands on the top of a small hill it may be from OE  pēac -ham (m ), 'ham(m) on the peak.' For this element, v. Peke's House infra 399.
