Wainway Wall

Etymology
Wainway Wall (6″), cf. Waynwaye Chanel 1610 Speed, Wanway 1823 G. The Wainway was on the earthen wall by the channel. The wall came to be named after it and in turn gave its name to the channel (J.E.R.).
