Etymology

East Court and Estcot's Fm (6″). East Court was doubtless the home of Brun de Estcof (1285CplM ) and Robert atte Estcote (1340 NI). It is just east of Grinstead. Estcot's Fm is close by and preserves the name more accurately. For court , v. cote .
