Bevingford is Bebyngworth 1535Ct and was the home of Richard de Bebbyngewerth (1296 SR). It is from OE  Beobinga - worþ , 'enclosure of Beofa's people,' v. worþ , and cf. Bevern Bridge and Bevendean supra 297, 308.
