The affix Wild - refers to the manor of (Monkton) Wyld (formerly in this par. now in Wootton F. par infra ) of which it was once part, v. Hutch3 2266.It is possible that one of the DB manors of Stoche (s ) cited s.n. Mandeville Stoke Fm supra is to be identified with this place. Buckett is a surname, cf. Bucketts Orchd 1843TA .
