Millburn Grange is Melleburn 1213 FF, Mel (e )borne , Mel (e )burne 1247Ass et freq to 1550AOMB , Melbornebrok 13thLegerBk , Mel (e )borne grange 1538 LP, Milborne grange 1547 Monast. Probably 'mill-burn' (cf. Dugdale 177), but it is surprising that we have no forms milne , mulne .
