Etymology
Wrest Wood (6″) was doubtless the home of Robert de Reste (1327 SR) and is called Reste c. 1375 (SRS 31, 133). There was also a Litelreste . This may be the OE wrǣst discussed in PN BedsHu 162–3s. n. Wrest. If so, it must mean 'thicket' here.
