Aire and now running alongside the canal ( v. gota ' water-course ' ) , which was called Cryer ( s ) Cut ( t ) , 1758PRRth , 1761 LdsM , Crier Cut 1817 M , v. cut ' a cut water-channel ' ; a family called Cryer was frequent in the parish from the seventeenth century ( PRRth ) .
