, the barn of Horning Hall is the chapel of the former St James 's Hospital , which was a hospice along the road from Horning to St Benet's Abbey (Pevsner170) . It was founded early in the reign of Henry III and was under the government of the almoner of the Abbey ( Blomefield XI 56 , Nf II 440 ) .
