Killingbecks, Kynhambek 1396 YD ii, v. bekkr 'stream'. The first el. appears to be an older p.n. Kynham , which may well be a compound of OE cyne- and hām , denoting 'a royal house or manor'.The modern form has been influenced by such YW p.ns. as Killingbeck 121supra or Killinghall v, 100infra .
