Carr Hall (lost), Carr Houses, denoting different places, Carr Hall (1841 O.S.) being near the Aire at Mickleton and Carr Houses on the Calder near Methley Junction; the earlier material, which may refer to either, includes Midelcar , Ouercar 1373 MethMR, Kerres 1374 ib, the Carr 1496, 1578 ib, 1592 Meth, Ker (r )banck , Ker (r )dike , Ker (r )loine 1367, 1394 MethMR, Carheed 1493 ib, v. kjarr 'marsh'.
