Etymology

North Beck, formerly Kicheburn and Keighley Beck, Kicheburn 13 YD i, Kitheburna 1333 Riev, Kighleybek , Kyghleybek 1488 YD iii, Kyghleybecke 1634 PRKy. Kicheburn , the older name, is 'Cyhha's stream' from the OE  pers.n. Cyhha as in Keighley supra and burna. Kighleybek is from bekkr 'stream'.
