Pingwell Haw (not on the map). It is the site of the vicarage of Wilmington and was given as glebe-land to the vicar in 1541 (CplM ). It would seem to be the place called Pynewelle in 1342 (BM), the home of Simon Pynewelle in 1327 (SR). The name means 'Pinna's spring.' For the pers. name v. s. n.
