Etymology

Bouges Fm is Booges in 1463 (SAC 41, 98), Bochys (1479), Bogys (1517), Bowges (1538), v. SAC 40, 124, Boojers in 1823 (G). It was held by Roger Buchi c. 1302 (SAC 40, 101). Cf. also Hugo and Lucia de Boucy in Wyndham in 1327 (SR). This is the same family that we find in Kingston Bowsey infra 245.
