Fingley (lost) is fin leage 909 (c. 1150) BCS 627, Fynlye 1328Rental (p), Fynlegh 1332 SR (p), Fingley 1548LRMB . A compound of OE  fin, 'heap of wood,' also used of a hill so shaped (cf. Findon PN Sx 197) and leah .
