Felbridge is Feltbruge 12th France, Feldbrigge 12thLewes , Feldbrigge 1255 AD iii(p), Ass , atte Felde Bregge 1279Ass (p), ate Feldbrugge 1294Ass (p), la Feldbregg 1355 Bodl, Fyltbrygge 1541 LP, Felbridge 1749 B. 'Bridge by the feld or open space (in the Weald).' Felbridge (hamlet) is in Surrey and Fel Bridge joins Surrey and Sussex (cf. PN Sx 332).
