Etymology

Ridgeway Fm and Westbrook Fm were the homes of Richard atte Rygwaye (1308Rental ) and Matilda de Westebrok (1288Rental ). The latter probably means 'west of the brook.' Ridgeway Farm is Ridgewaie 1613MinAcct . Westbrook Farm is Westbroke 1583Recov .
